Data Analyst
With the hiring of a data analyst CropDesign wants to complete its team of biometricians that is responsible for experimental design and data analysis in the field of agricultural crops. The data originate from laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments being part of a larger plant screening program.
The Data Analyst will be assisting in the preparation and the analysis of agronomic data of field and greenhouse trials under the supervision of experienced biometricians. He/she will also assist in the interpretation of results and report the results to biologists.
Requirements
- Showing a keen interest in data analysis and statisticsrn
- Having some experience with analysis of variance and regression techniques
- Willing to learn more about other statistical methodologies
- Having some experience in computer programming and databasing
- Being fluent in Englishrn
- Showing flexibility in sharing workload with the other team members
- Having a master degree in a relevant field, or a bachelor degree with some relevant working experience
- Experience with the statistical language R or experience in plant biotechology will be highly appreciated
Applied Genetics Associate
This is a new function in the existing "development" group of CropDesign.
It concerns a supporting function with a.o. following tasks:
- Support the Development Manager and Technical Applied Genetics Manager
- Assist in preparation of multiplications and field trials of rice
- Inventory management
- Data cleaning
- Preparing sampling in the field
- Preparing and shipping seed samples
- Coordination and control QC of seeds
Profile
- Showing a keen interest in plants
- Having a bachelor degree in a relevant field, or some relevant working experience
- Accuracy is a must
- Having a good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other database software
- Being fluent in English
- Having a basic knowledge of statistics and field trailing is certainly an asset
