CropDesign has discovered a suite of useful promoters in the genomes of rice and Arabidopsis. These promoters have been validated by promoter-reporter gene studies in rice, corn and Arabidopsis, and their expression pattern at different stages in plant development has been established.
The characterised promoters include constitutive promoters and promoters specific for particular organs such as roots, leaves, flowers, seed endosperm, seed embryo, etc.
