Many crop plants suffer significant yield losses due to growth under
suboptimal environmental conditions. One of the most important causes
of reduced yield is drought stress. The importance of drought stress
is anticipated to increase in the future, as the pressure rises to
reduce water inputs in agriculture. CropDesign has developed a set of transgenes that confer enhanced tolerance of plants to either drought stress, salinity stress or a combination of both.
