Johan Cardoen

Dr. Cardoen received his Ph.D. in biology from the University of Leuven, Belgium (1987). From 1988 until joining the Company, he worked for Plant Genetic Systems (PGS) as Technology Acquisition Manager and Business Development Manager.

Prior to joining the Company (July 1999), Dr. Cardoen was Head Technology Acquisition of AgrEvo Hoechst Schering (now Bayer CropScience), and in that position he was responsible for all biotechnology-related technology acquisitions. In this role he was closely involved in a number of corporate deals.

He joined CropDesign as Vice President Technology Alliances and IP and became Vice President Business Development in 2001. On January 1, 2005, Johan Cardoen was appointed CEO of CropDesign.
