Marnix Peferoen

Marnix Peferoen has spent over 18 years in the agricultural biotechnology business.
He started his career as a scientist in Plant Genetic Systems in 1987 and developed
with the company when it became integrated in Hoechst Shering AgrEvo, Aventis
CropScience and Bayer CropScience.
He held various research management positions and was responsible for various
technologies such as insect control (Bt) and for crop-based research programs
such as cotton, rice and corn. He was closely involved in developing a number
of commercial traits such as corn borer tolerant corn and LibertyLink cotton.
He holds a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Leuven, Belgium.
